About The Project

This is a virtual queue project I have created for one of my modules, Application Development Studio (ADES), in Singapore Polytechnic. In an attempt to reduce physical resources taken up by a physical queue, companies look to virtual queue as a solution for services that have substantial queueing time (e.g. dental appointment, airport check-ins, fitting rooms). For this project, I have attempted to replicate the UI of Google. Queue IDs are set to contain 10 alphanumeric characters, Customer and Company IDs are set to contain 10 numeric characters.

Through the Customer portal

• Join a virtual queue
• Check how many people are in a queue
• Check how many people are ahead of them in a queue

Through the Arrival Rate portal

• Visualize the arrival rate of queues so that they can make analytical judgement
